Matt Williams
Assistant General Counsel

“You need a little bit of insanity to do great things.”
- Henry Rollins

Matt grew up in Beavercreek, Ohio, a suburb of Dayton. Prior to joining Advance, he was a practicing attorney in the private sector with a focus on business transactions and later served as a public defender, representing underprivileged clients in criminal matters. This varied legal experience has taught him to be flexible and work to find creative solutions for the wide range of legal questions that arise at Advance.

From day one at Advance, Matt has focused on the Affordable Care Act. He enjoys speaking with clients about the ACA and helping them understand the unique challenges that the law presents to the staffing industry.

When not at Advance, Matt can be found sampling the microbrews at any one of Cleveland’s many breweries. He is an avid golfer, concert-goer and still roots for the Cincinnati Reds and Bengals, despite the heckling from the Cleveland fans in the office.

Craig Cohen
SVP of Credit Administration

“Winning is not a sometime thing, it's an all the time thing. You don't win once in a while; you don't do things right once in a while; you do them right all of the time. Winning is a habit.”
- Vince Lombardi

After graduating from OSU with a BBA in Finance and then earning his MBA from John Carroll University, Craig built his career in corporate and commercial banking. He gained extensive experience in credit underwriting, risk management and loan workout, both at small community banks and large regional banks.

At Advance, Craig oversees credit and underwriting functions and also supports clients with risk management, acquisitions and business valuation. “We’re all part of a team working toward a common goal. It’s motivating to know that your contribution is not only necessary but truly matters. That's what makes Advance great and sets us apart.”

Craig is also very committed to The First Tee of Cleveland, a youth development program that teaches core values and life skills through the game of golf. He is a Volunteer Coach and serves on the Board of Directors.

Outside of Advance and The First Tee, Craig enjoys spending time with his family, vacationing with his wife, golfing (of course!) and snowboarding.
