Joel Adelman, President
Joel Adelman, founder and President of advance, is the driving force behind advance's efforts to provide the staffing industry with more than just payroll funding. Marshaling his considerable entrepreneurial skill and business acumen, he has assembled an effective executive team and works tirelessly to provide comprehensive, integrated back office services and support along with a menu of other business-building, profit-generating services to staffing firms throughout the United States. Since its founding in 1997, advance has become one of the fastest growing companies in Northeast Ohio.
Previous to founding advance, Joel was involved with Blue Coral, Inc., which was sold to Quaker State in 1996. Blue Coral had become a market leader in automotive car care, with manufacturing and distributing facilities located throughout the world. Joel was named president of Blue Coral in 1992 and served in that position up to the Quaker State transaction.
Born in 1963, Joel was raised in Chagrin Falls, Ohio, and graduated from Northwood University in 1986 with degrees in marketing and finance.
Joel is committed to giving back to his community and has served on the boards of several philanthropic and non-profit organizations. Joel and his wife Jodi have been married 13 years and have 3 children. They are all racquet sports enthusiasts.
