Visionary in style and entrepreneurial in spirit, Joel personifies his favorite motto, “entrepreneurs serving entrepreneurs.” Just ten short years after founding the company, his winning ways grew Advance to become the largest national independent provider of integrated funding services to the Contract Labor and Temporary Staffing Industries; an industry-leading position maintained today.

Echoing the Advance Mission Statement, “we help staffing firms grow,” Joel states, “It’s all about growth – keep moving forward, set high goals, and, once achieved, always move on to the next level.”

A Northwood University graduate with dual degrees in marketing and finance, he earned his customer service stripes logging over twelve years in manufacturing and consumer products before launching Advance.

Giving back is vital to Joel’s life philosophy and he is generous with his time and resources as evidenced by his community involvement. He serves as a board member of one of the nation’s premier children’s hospitals, Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital; is a member of the Investment & Finance Committee of Hawken School and is the past Cleveland Chapter President of the YPO (Young President’s Organization).

When asked to describe himself in three words or less, he replied without hesitation, “Still growing.”
